After teaching at a small hagwon, I decided to pursue a public school teaching job for a second year in Korea. Even though I had been in Korea for a year, I was anxious to find a trust-worhty recruiting agency. (As we all know by now, there are so many agencies and companies out there!) Upon the recommendation from a fellow ESL teacher, I sent my application of interest to Korvia.
Within a matter of days, I received a response from Jessie Kim. Not only was my correspondence with Jessie always prompt and informative, but most importantly, she maintained a positive and friendly attitude. She is all about team work. :) Jessie is passionate about her job as a recruiter and it shows! I was relieved and excited to be selected as a candidate for a teaching position at an elementary school in Anyang. Through thorough preparation and advice from Jessie, I was offered a teaching position after an in-person interview.
Once I accepted the position in Anyang, I had a lot of red tape to work through before my new contract started. Even though the process continued to be a bit time-consuming on my end, Jessie was there to assist me with any questions as needed. She even made an appointment for me with the immigration office and accompanied me to the scheduled meeting.
I am writing in full support of Korvia and the work of Jessie Kim. Without Jessie, I doubt my transition into the GEPIK program would have been as successful. I am happily settled into a new home and school. I am grateful for this opportunity and encourage you to pursue your own teaching adventure with the help of Korvia. Best wishes to you!
